Stephen Coutts is a North Queensland artist based in the Burdekin delta.  He works primarily in sculpture, printmaking, and drawing.  Stephen enjoys using the element of chance to stimulate the subconscious.  Sometimes a meaning is apparent to him immediately, sometimes it emerges over time, and sometimes it retains its mystery.  As an artist, he finds inspiration in the environment, travel, the cultural productions of others, his wife, family, and friends.
